How we support you

Support for every part of student life

Mentorship

Every student learns alongside working professionals. Our faculty lead real projects for clients, and they bring that experience to your training.

A mentor from industry

You are paired with a practising professional from our faculty who follows your progress through the course.

Portfolio reviews

Your mentor reviews your project work before assessment and tells you what an employer or client will look for.

Exposure to live work

Where possible, students take part in real projects run by our faculty, so you see how the work is done for clients.

Learning support

Self-paced does not mean on your own. Your trainer keeps track of your progress and steps in early when you need help.

Regular check-ins

Trainers check in with you during the course, so no one falls behind without being noticed.

One-to-one catch-up

Missed a session or stuck on a unit? Ask for a catch-up session with your trainer, online or in person.

Feedback and another attempt

If you are not yet competent in a unit, you get clear feedback on what to improve and the chance to be assessed again.

Careers and jobs

Our courses prepare you for professional work. We help you take the next step, whether that is a job, an attachment or your own business.

CV and portfolio clinic

Help to present your skills and your finished course project in a CV and portfolio that employers take seriously.

Job and attachment leads

We share job openings, attachments and freelance briefs from our partners and professional network with our students and graduates.

Working for yourself

Guidance on freelancing, pricing your work, finding clients and registering a business.

Fees and payment

Fees should not stand between a committed student and a skill. If you cannot pay the full fee, or need help with part of it, talk to us.

Pay in full before the course starts

The full course fee is paid before the course begins, and your place is confirmed as soon as payment arrives.

Pay by M-Pesa

Payment details reach you on screen and by email when you register, with a payment page that confirms your payment.

Fee support

Students who cannot pay the full fee, or need help with part of it, can apply for fee support. We review each case in confidence and agree what you can pay.

Talk to us early

If your circumstances change during a course, tell us. We will look at your options with you before your place is at risk.

Wellbeing

Life outside class affects learning. If something is getting in the way of your studies, there is someone to talk to.

Someone to talk to

A confidential conversation with a member of staff about anything affecting your training.

Referral to professional help

Where you need specialist support, we will help you find professional counselling services.

Flexible pacing

Because study is self-paced, you can slow down for a while when you need to, without dropping out.

Access to learning

We want every student who has the drive to learn to be able to train with us.

Online and in person

Learn online, in class in Nairobi, or a mix of both, depending on the course and what works for you.

Devices and connectivity

Tell us if you do not have a suitable laptop or reliable internet, and we will work out a way for you to keep up.

Learning needs

Tell us about any disability or learning need, and we will adjust how you learn and how you are assessed.
